Lawson Hemphill model L551-1M DMT Dynamic Modulus Tester. Measures sonic velocity in materials fibres, tapes, films, yarn , paper, textile, monofilament, Carbon fibre, glass fibers. Ideal for the testing of protective textiles and geo textiles .  Absorption of the kinetic energy of a projectile related to wave propagation and frictional energy dissipation.   The  accurate measurement of the sound velocity between the transducers result in the calculation of dynamic modulus of elasticity.   This is a non destruction method of testing the samples allowing further testing of a sample once modulus is determined.
